cappucino please?

hola coffee and non-coffee lovers,,,

i want to share a story about a customer whom i served her during my early days in starbucks. somehow i still remember how she looks like. i dont want to be rude but this customer makes me ROTFLMAO... XD

one fine morning,,,where i finished my cleaning tasks...

Me : Hi, good morning...
Customer : Hi.....
.........long pause........the customer was looking at the menu boards.........
Me: Can I help u? Would u like to have hot drink,cold drink or frappucino? (tries to be very helpful)
Customer: errrmmm,,, ntah laaa nak minum ape? dah slalu minum cappucino blended kat starbucks,,tak tau nak minum ape....
Me: huh, cappucino blended? bile ye tu? (cube utk initiate conversation...)
Customer: baru minum minggu lepas,,,dah bosan plak minum cappucino blended...(gaya as if she's a regular customer.)
Me: miss, WE HAVE HOT CAPPUCINO ONLY! no iced capp, no cappucino ice blended!
Customer: R U sure? (stunned and started to blush..)
Me: Yes, 100% sure cappucino is a hot drink only in sbux! maybe i can help u wit ur ice-blended drink ( my finger pointed at the center of the menu board that highlight FRAPPUCINO)
Customer: kalau macam tu..mocha je laa..
Me: Mocha Frappucino ye?
Customer: yes yes...

i tried not to make fun of her,,,tapi c'mon,,,if you are not familiar with something,,admit it! "Dik, this is my first time in starbucks,any recommendation x?" haaaaa,,,tu baru laa btl...jangan laaa nak berpura2 tahu sedangkan ia akan menjerat diri sendiri...kan itu namanya membuka pekung di dada...As a brista, we are willing to help u dear customers...we r willing to educate u,,plus its part of our job to help customers to their needs...so, next time,jangan malu jangan segan untuk bertanya. kami juga manusia seperti anda...and, once again....

ITS HOT CAPPUCINO, NOT CAPPUCINO BLENDED OR ICED CAPPUCINO!

short,tall, grande, venti

for those starbucks-maniac, they should know these cup bertingkat2 ni...yg blum familiar about the size, ok lemme educate you about SIZEsss of our drinks...kepada beginner or baru menjinakkan diri untuk berada dlm golongan customer sbux a.k.a starbucks ni..kena laaa belajar skit...or terus je terjah barista kat depan kaunter and ask, 'heyya, what's with tall, grande, venti huh?'

ok, basically in sbux msia, kite ade 4jenis size iaitu SHORT, TALL, GRANDE and VENTI...tapi size SHORT sangat jarang digunakan...kalau gune pon untuk to-go doppio espresso dan solo espresso (shot espresso, mmg betul2 kaw) ...ok,, SILA JANGAN REQUEST SHORT FRAPPUCINO YE... sebab memang xkan ade size short untuk frappucino anda or bhasa lainnye ice-blended anda!

sebelum itu, tahukah anda bagaimana nak pronouce setiap size tersebut?
TALL: pronounce mcm biase seperti tall yang bermaksud panjang...haaaa,,,jangan misunderstood TALL size dlm sbuxterm bermaksud size plg kecik!
GRANDE: grand-day....bukan geran or gren ok!
VENTI: ven-tee...bukan ven-tie(tali leher) ....hehehe

L-R: SHORT | TALL | GRANDE | VENTI |

ini to-go cups untuk hot beverages sahaja...yang sejuk or blended shuld be in a transparent plastic cup.

ohh,, perbezaan harga setiap size hanya rm1 sahaja...selamat mencuba....

p/s: ohh, di oversea sudah ade size lg besar drp venti iaitu tantra! habis ke minum?

hello there,

a warm greeting from a barista who works almost for 2years :-)

ok, korang mesti wondering kenapa suddenly after 2years baru aku buat blog pasal kehidupan seorang barista? actually memang aku x pernah terfikir untuk berkongsi pengalaman aku sebagai pembancuh kopi(errr,,bukanlah kopi je yang aku reti buat ;-p),,,yelaa...bukan menarik sangat pon untuk bercerita tentang pekerjaan aku selama menjadi seorang part-timer barista ni...kalau nak diikutkan, memang banyak laa experience aku dapat since jadi barista ni, especially dapat improve my communication skill in english dan berjumpa pelbagai jenis ragam manusia.

aku mendapat inspirasi untuk berblog ni pon daripada seorang partner yang cukup rapat...dia laa yang suggest aku untuk men'dokumentari'kan pengalaman2 aku semasa menjadi barista melayan karenah manusia. semoga aku dapat berkongsi sedikit sebanyak kisah aku kat sini dan mungkin blog ini menjadi medium untuk aku menghilangkan stress selepas bekerja? hehehe....

oh,,,by the way...im lady gaga...eh, bukan...im lisa (bukan nama sebenar) and im a barista from starbucks ***
